RAWALPINDI: A pivotal meeting was held at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Conference Room to review progress on various ongoing projects and to deliberate on key urban development issues, including the modification of the bike lane on Old Airport Road, construction of residential houses for RDA officers, the e-Biz Portal, and the e-FOAS system. The meeting served as an important platform for assessing development strategies and identifying measures to further streamline service delivery.

The meeting was chaired by the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Engineer Aamir Khattak, who appreciated the efforts of RDA on multiple development projects. He emphasized the importance of timely completion of initiatives that directly impact the citizens of Rawalpindi, stressing that delays not only affect service delivery but also hamper long term urban planning goals. He directed to ensure improved coordination among departments and to expedite work on public-oriented development schemes.

The Director General RDA, Kinza Murtaza, gave a detailed presentation highlighting the progress, challenges, and planned modifications related to RDA’s projects. She reiterated RDA’s commitment to adopting modern planning tools, enhancing transparency, and ensuring the highest quality of work. The DG RDA also underlined the significance of the e-Biz Portal and e-FOAS in improving governance and facilitating public services.

The Director General, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), Ahmed Hassan Ranjha also presented a comprehensive briefing on PHA led projects and beautification initiatives across the city, including landscaping, greenbelt development, and ongoing maintenance works aimed at enhancing Rawalpindi’s urban aesthetics.

The meeting was attended by RDA and PHA officers, including Director Engineering RDA, Muhammad Anwar Baran; Chief Planner RDA, Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Administration RDA Iftikhar Ali, Director Finance RDA Shahid Yaqoob, and Director MP&TE RDA Atif Ch along with other officers.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthened interdepartmental coordination, efficient project execution, and continuous improvement of public services for the overall betterment of the city.
