ISLAMABAD: In view of the ongoing snowfall in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has directed the National Highway Authority (NHA) to ensure that all national highways be remained open and fully operational under all circumstances.

Federal Minister has instructed NHA field staff to remain on high alert and to maintain 24/7 monitoring of weather conditions on highways in snowfall-affected areas. He emphasized that ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow on national highways, particularly in upper regions, is a top priority.

Abdul Aleem Khan further stated that in case of any road closure or emergency, citizens should immediately contact the NHA. He reiterated the Government’s commitment to promptly address issues arising from snowfall and to restore traffic at the earliest.
