ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has intensified its tree plantation drive along Iran Avenue to boost green cover and improve air quality in the federal capital. Large, climate-resilient trees are being planted along medians and road verges to enhance Islamabad’s urban landscape.
CDA officials said indigenous species are being used to ensure high survival rates while providing shade, reducing pollution, and improving the aesthetic appeal of major city corridors.
The plantation along Iran Avenue is part of a wider city-wide environmental programme, and CDA is working with local communities to protect and maintain the newly planted trees. Additional phases will continue throughout the year, reinforcing Islamabad’s commitment to sustainable urban development.
