ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company has announced the establishment of state of the art Customer Facilitation Centres in all operational regions to enhance electricity services and streamline consumer support. The directive was issued by Iesco Chairman Dr Tahir Masood during the inauguration of the first modern centre at the company head office.

The newly launched facility is designed to provide comprehensive electricity related services under one roof, marking a major step toward improving customer experience in the power distribution sector. Senior officials including Chief Executive Engineer Chaudhry Khalid Mahmood and board members Rana Abdul Sattar, Dr Imtiaz Ahmed, Shahid Farooq and Engineer Syed Faizan Ali attended the ceremony.

Dr Tahir Masood said the initiative aligns with the vision of the prime minister and the federal minister for energy Power Division, focusing on consumer centric reforms and service delivery improvements. He stressed that modern infrastructure and transparent systems are essential for strengthening public trust in utility services.

The Customer Facilitation Centres will handle a wide range of services including installment plans for electricity bills, extensions in due dates, bill corrections, change of name and address, and registration as well as resolution of power outage complaints. Consumers will also be able to submit applications for new electricity connections through a streamlined process.

According to officials, the centres aim to reduce congestion at traditional complaint offices and ensure faster case processing through digitised systems. Dedicated counters and trained staff will assist consumers in a clean and organised environment to minimise delays and procedural complications.

The chairman reiterated that customers remain the top priority of the company. He emphasised that electricity consumers must be treated with dignity and respect while ensuring transparency, efficiency and quality service delivery across Islamabad and adjoining regions.
