Islamabad came alive as the Capital Development Authority (CDA), under Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, launched the Spring Tree Plantation 2026 campaign in collaboration with Blossoms Pre‑School. The initiative invited school children to plant trees across the city, promoting environmental awareness and community participation. The CDA Environment Directorate (Parks) organized the activity to instill sustainable habits among young learners while enhancing the city’s green cover.
The campaign focuses on planting native and fruit-bearing trees in parks, roadways, and neighborhoods, boosting urban biodiversity and improving air quality. Volunteers, school groups, and environmental teams participated enthusiastically, turning the event into an interactive learning experience for children. The initiative underscores Islamabad’s commitment to a greener and healthier environment.
Chairman Randhawa praised the children’s active participation, highlighting the importance of early environmental education. He reaffirmed CDA’s dedication to ongoing plantation drives throughout 2026, aiming to make Islamabad a leading green capital in the region.
