ISLAMABAD: The construction of the National Police Academy in the federal capital has entered its final phase, with authorities accelerating work to ensure timely completion of the high profile training facility. The progress was reviewed during a site visit led by Muhammad Ali Randhawa along with senior engineering officials.
During the visit, officials briefed the chairman on the ongoing development, revealing that the nine storey building is nearing completion. Eight floors have already been constructed, while work on the ninth floor is expected to be completed within the current month, marking a major milestone in the project.
Finishing work, including interior development and architectural detailing, is progressing rapidly to prepare the facility for operational readiness. Authorities highlighted that the academy is being equipped with modern infrastructure to meet advanced training standards for law enforcement personnel.
Specialized training facilities such as a rappelling tower and obstacle courses are also under construction to enhance physical training capabilities. These components are being developed alongside the main structure and are expected to be completed within the same timeline to ensure full functionality of the academy.
Chairman Randhawa directed officials to expedite the remaining work while maintaining strict quality standards. He emphasized the need to ensure uninterrupted provision of essential utilities including electricity and water, along with state of the art training facilities for future police officers.
He further instructed that landscaping and horticulture around the academy be developed to create a modern and visually appealing environment. Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the chairman stated that timely completion of infrastructure projects remains a top priority to strengthen institutional capacity and improve public service delivery in Islamabad.
