ISLAMABAD: Frustration is mounting among allottees of Federal Government Employees Housing Authority projects as prolonged delays stretching over more than 17 years continue to leave thousands without possession of their plots.

While the government moves ahead with plans to launch new housing sectors F Twelve and G Twelve, affected allottees have raised serious concerns over the neglect of older schemes. They have urged authorities to prioritise completion of pending projects alongside new developments.

The upcoming sectors are expected to be launched in June to address rising housing demand in the federal capital. Officials say the layout plan for F Twelve has been finalised, while development work in G Twelve is nearing completion, signaling fresh opportunities for buyers.

However, several earlier projects including Green Enclave One, Lifestyle Residency in G Thirteen and Sky Garden remain incomplete despite being launched in 2009. Many allottees claim they have made full payments but are still waiting to take possession and begin construction.

Representatives of affected buyers say the situation reflects administrative inefficiency and lack of accountability. They argue that families have been forced to live in rented homes for years while their savings remain locked in delayed projects, worsening financial pressure amid rising living costs.

Allottees have called on the housing ministry to intervene and introduce a transparent and time bound development framework. They stress that restoring trust in public housing requires urgent completion of long delayed schemes and stronger oversight to prevent further setbacks.
