Islamabad: The CDA Officers Association and Global System of Integrated Studies signed a Memorandum of Understanding extending fee relaxation and preference in admissions to the children of the civic authority’s employees. 

The event was attended by CDA Member Estate Muhammad Zaman Watto, CDA Officers Association General Secretary Chaudhary Kamran Bakht, Principal/Director Admin of GSIS along with other CDA officers and employees.

Primary objective of this agreement is to provide high-quality and standard education to the children of CDA officers and employees, as well as to grant them significant concessions in educational facilities. Under the MoU, GSIS School has decided to completely waive all one-time admission fees for the children of regular CDA employees during the admission process.

General Secretary of the Officers Association, Chaudhary Kamran Bakht, said that under the agreement, the refundable security deposit has also been fully waived to prevent any financial burden on employees. 

He further said that admission and security fees have been entirely waived for the children of CDA employees and officers under this agreement. Chaudhary Kamran Bakht added that the most significant clause of the agreement is a 50 percent reduction in the monthly tuition fee, enabling the children of CDA employees and officers to secure admission to this educational institution at half the tuition fee.

It is pertinent to mention that under this agreement, the children of CDA employees will also receive priority status during admissions and will be given first preference on the waiting list compared to the general public.

CDA Member Estate Muhammad Zaman Watto remarked that this agreement is a significant milestone for the welfare and well-being of hardworking CDA employees and their families. He further said that the authority has always been committed to protecting the rights and ensuring the welfare of its employees, and this agreement is a shining testament to that commitment.

General Secretary of the Labour Union, Chaudhary Muhammad Yaseen, said that hundreds of CDA employees’ children will benefit from high-quality education through this agreement. He added that CDA employees play a pivotal role in the construction and development of the City and acknowledging their services, providing better educational opportunities for their children is a critical need of the hour.

Principal and Director Admin of GSIS, Quratulain Ali Rizvi, said that this educational institution is deeply committed to providing quality and unbiased education and fostering partnerships with the community. She further expressed that providing educational facilities to the children of CDA employees in recognition of their services is their moral obligation, and they will make every possible effort to successfully implement this agreement.

CDA Officers Association has assured GSIS of its cooperation in promoting education within the institution, as well as organizing sports tournaments and other national-level events. On this occasion, CDA Officers Association’s Chaudhary Kamran Bakht extended special thanks to Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, said that the signing of this agreement was made possible due to his vision, guidance and education-friendly initiatives.
