The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad and the National Database and Registration Authority have signed a landmark agreement to introduce the CRMS Mobile Application, a major step towards modernizing municipal services in the capital. The signing ceremony took place at the MCI Conference Room in Islamabad, attended by senior officials from both organizations.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Anam Fatima, Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, and Syed Gohar Abbas Jaffery, Director General NADRA. The initiative aims to bring critical civic services directly to citizens through a streamlined and fully digital platform that simplifies essential documentation processes.

A central feature of the new system is the ability for residents of Islamabad to apply for and receive Birth Certificates and Death Certificates online. By bringing these vital services to a mobile platform, the initiative will eliminate the need for in person visits, reduce delays, and minimize the inconvenience traditionally associated with manual paperwork.

Through the CRMS Mobile Application, users will be able to submit applications, upload required documents, track the status of their requests in real time, and receive digitally verified certificates. The system will operate on NADRA supported secure verification technology to ensure accurate authentication and robust data protection.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Anam Fatima said that the launch of the CRMS Mobile App marks a defining moment in MCI’s digital transformation journey. She added that the platform will enhance transparency, reduce procedural hurdles, and deliver citizen centric municipal services with greater efficiency.

Director General NADRA Syed Gohar Abbas Jaffery reaffirmed NADRA’s commitment to providing data security, system authentication, and technical expertise. He emphasized that this collaboration will strengthen national efforts toward digital governance and contribute to building a more connected, efficient, and digitally empowered Islamabad.
