ISLAMABAD: The National Highways and Motorway Police has initiated the procurement of advanced body worn cameras and essential fleet supplies as part of its ongoing modernization drive to strengthen highway enforcement and transparency. The move reflects the department’s strategic focus on technology based policing and improved operational performance across the motorway network.

Officials said the upgradation of body cameras will enhance accountability, improve evidence collection and promote professional conduct during field operations. Alongside surveillance equipment, the procurement of tyres and lubricants aims to ensure optimal vehicle performance and uninterrupted patrol coverage on national highways. The initiative underscores NHMP commitment to road safety, efficient fleet management and service delivery through institutional reforms and digital transformation.
