ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a dedicated helpline — 1334 — for citizens to report littering and environmental violations around Rawal Dam. The initiative aims to curb pollution, protect aquatic life, and preserve the natural beauty of the reservoir.

Under the directions of Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a large-scale cleanliness campaign was also organized around Rawal Dam, with enthusiastic participation from students of schools, colleges, and universities, as well as volunteers from civil society.

Chairman Randhawa said the campaign was part of efforts to promote civic sense among the public and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in natural areas. He appreciated the active participation of students and volunteers, adding that strict legal action is being taken against those responsible for littering.

He said the initiative will not only help restore the natural charm of Rawal Dam but also ensure a healthier and cleaner environment for the citizens of Islamabad.
