Pakistan has secured a major milestone in its mineral sector as a strategic partnership was finalized between the local company Himalayan Earth Exploration HEE and the American firm Nova Minerals Limited. The collaboration aims to accelerate the exploration and development of high value minerals across the country while strengthening Pak US economic cooperation.

The development was shared by prominent businessman and social figure Hanif Gohar, Chairman of Air Karachi and Himalayan Earth Exploration, during his visit to Dhodial in Mansehra. Speaking to local journalists, he said the agreement is designed to unlock Pakistan’s vast reserves of critical minerals and enhance long term commercial ties with the United States. He added that the partnership marks a new era of cooperation in sectors vital for modern industries.

Gohar confirmed that HEE and Nova Minerals NASDAQ ASX FRA NVA have entered into a historic agreement under which both companies will represent each other’s business interests in Pakistan and the US. The partnership is expected to expand future collaboration in high tech manufacturing, semiconductor materials, energy transition technologies and rare earth elements REEs that are essential for global supply chains.

He highlighted that Pakistan holds significant deposits of critical minerals and REEs. Through this joint venture the partners aim to promote responsible development, encourage local value addition, generate skilled employment and support deeper bilateral economic engagement. Nova Minerals CEO Christopher Gerteisen thanked local communities for their hospitality and voiced strong confidence in long term cooperation between the two firms.

HEE Director and CEO Liaquat Ali Sultan along with Director Jabar Khan said the partnership prioritises innovation, capacity building and the establishment of a modern mining ecosystem. They underscored the need for advanced geological research and sustainable extraction practices to drive long term sectoral growth.

HEE, a subsidiary of the Chinar and Gohar Groups, is already at the forefront of mineral exploration in Pakistan with a 35 square kilometre placer gold project and a promising 111 kilometre mineral corridor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile Nova Minerals is advancing its Estelle Project in Alaska which covers 514 square kilometres in the Tintina Gold Belt renowned for its gold and antimony prospects.

The newly forged Pak US partnership is anticipated to bring investment technology transfer and sustainable development to Pakistan’s critical mineral sector. It is also expected to support a more secure diversified mineral supply chain for the United States.
