Punjab Senior Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin has announced the establishment of a mobile water van in Murree to provide free clean drinking water to tourists, aligning with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The initiative underscores the provincial government’s commitment to delivering high-quality basic services to both residents and visitors.

During his visit to Murree, Minister Bilal Yasin inaugurated the Punjab WASA Murree office, a key project under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision. The office aims to modernize the water supply and sewerage system in the area, ensuring sustainable and efficient service delivery for the local population and tourists alike.

The establishment of WASA Murree is expected to significantly improve municipal services and enhance overall water management. Minister Yasin emphasized that the initiative will create a robust framework for the provision of clean drinking water while strengthening the sewerage infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the hill station.

During the visit, the minister received a detailed briefing from officials of the Public Health Engineering Department and the Pakistan Housing Authority on ongoing and proposed development projects in Murree. The discussions focused on streamlining service delivery and ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

The ceremony was attended by notable officials including MNA Raja Usama Ashfaq Sarwar, Director General Punjab WASA Tayyab Fareed, Additional Commissioner Revenue Umar Kiani, and Managing Director PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha. Managing Director WASA Murree Azeem Shaukat Awan highlighted that the establishment of WASA Murree will bring long-term improvements to both water supply and sewerage systems in line with the Chief Minister’s development vision.

Minister Bilal Yasin instructed that all projects in Murree be prioritized and completed promptly to provide residents and tourists with modern facilities. The government’s continued focus on enhancing basic services demonstrates its dedication to making Murree a sustainable and tourist-friendly destination while ensuring access to essential amenities for all.
