ISLAMABAD: The federal government is expected to announce a revision in petroleum prices from February following the completion of its regular fortnightly review, sources said. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has finalised its calculations and forwarded a price summary to the Petroleum Division based on international oil trends and import parity.

Sources said High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is expected to increase by Rs9.47 per litre, while Petrol (PMG) may see a slight decrease of Rs0.45 per litre. The final decision will be taken by the government and officially notified after approval.

Petroleum price adjustments are closely monitored as they directly affect inflation, transport costs, and overall economic activity across the country.
