ISLAMABAD: Under the chairmanship of Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a high-level meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday to review development progress in the city’s newly planned sectors. Senior officials including Member Administration Talat Mehmood, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon participated in the session.
Officials provided a detailed briefing on the development status of sector C-14, highlighting that core infrastructure works have reached advanced stages. They informed the chairman that the handover of plots to owners in C-14 is expected to commence soon, signaling a major step forward in residential expansion.
Chairman Randhawa directed that all streets and plot numbers be clearly marked with signboards for the convenience of residents. He also instructed that comprehensive plot information be integrated into the modern digital mapping system to ensure accurate records and better planning.
The meeting also reviewed progress in sector I-12, where nearly all residential and commercial plots have entered the final phases of development. The chairman emphasized that e-maps, street lighting, and signage must be installed to provide complete infrastructure support for residents.
Sector E-12 development was also discussed, with officials reporting that sub-sectors 1 and 2 have nearly completed infrastructure works. Development in sub-sector 3 is ongoing, while sub-sector 4 will soon see tenders issued after removal of existing obstacles. Chairman Randhawa stressed that developed plots should be handed over promptly and that all illegal constructions and encroachments must be eliminated.
Chairman Randhawa concluded the meeting by underlining that the CDA’s priority is to accelerate plot handovers across all sectors while ensuring the provision of modern infrastructure and amenities. He reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to offering Islamabad residents high-quality, fully developed residential and commercial facilities.
