ISLAMABAD: Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority Sohail Ashraf carried out a high-level inspection of the under-construction National Police Academy, signaling a renewed push to accelerate critical law enforcement infrastructure in the federal capital.

During the visit, Inspector General Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and senior officials accompanied the CDA chief, providing detailed briefings on ongoing development works and operational readiness plans linked to the facility.

Officials informed the chairman that construction across all floors of the National Police Academy has entered its final phase, with rapid progress being made to meet completion timelines. The project is expected to become a cornerstone for advanced police training in the country.

Expressing satisfaction over the pace of work, Sohail Ashraf directed authorities to ensure immediate completion of remaining construction while maintaining strict quality standards. He emphasized the need to equip the academy with modern, high-end training facilities to strengthen professional capacity within law enforcement agencies.

The chairman also reviewed the expansion of the Islamabad Safe City Project, where officials highlighted upgrades being implemented on modern technological lines. The expansion aims to enhance surveillance, improve response times, and reinforce overall security management in the capital.

In addition, Sohail Ashraf inspected development work at the Elite Police School, where specialized training infrastructure including rappelling towers and obstacle courses is being established. These facilities are designed to enhance tactical preparedness and operational efficiency of elite police units, marking a significant step toward modern policing standards in Islamabad.
