ISLAMABAD: Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with Member Environment Esfandyar Baloch, DG Environment, Deputy DG Enforcement, Director DMA and Baku team visited Saidpur Model Village and reviewed the ongoing uplift and beautification work in detail.
On this occasion, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa was given a detailed briefing on the progress made so far under the uplift project in Saidpur Model Village.
During the briefing, Chairman CDA was informed that the uplift and beautification work in Saidpur Model Village is progressing rapidly, with architects and horticulture experts from Baku providing special assistance.
Chairman CDA appreciated the work of Baku’s team of architects and horticulture experts regarding the uplift and beautification of Saidpur Village. He expressed hope that soon, Islamabad would be introduced to the world as a beautiful and modern capital city equipped with tourism and recreational facilities. He stated that the uplift and beautification of Saidpur Village would not only enhance the city’s beauty but also make it an attractive recreational spot for citizens. He directed the utilization of all available resources to transform Saidpur Village into a state-of-the-art model in line with international standards.
Chairman CDA said that this project would make Saidpur Model Village an excellent tourist destination, ensuring top-notch arrangements and recreational facilities for visitors. On this occasion, he directed the early completion of the uplift and beautification work in Saidpur Model Village. He emphasized that all resources should be utilized to make Saidpur Village a premier tourist and recreational spot.
During the briefing, Chairman CDA was informed that a successful operation against illegal settlements in the Margalla Hills National Park area had resulted in the recovery of 23 kanals of precious land. The legal residents of Saidpur appreciated the action of CDA and DMA against illegal settlements. The briefing revealed that the operation led to the demolition of 13 illegal houses within the national park’s boundaries and approximately 23 kanals of valuable government land were retrieved from illegal occupants. The recovered land has been handed over to the Environment Wing to preserve the natural beauty and environment of the national park.
On this occasion, Chairman CDA reaffirmed his commitment, stating that all possible measures would be taken to protect the natural beauty of Islamabad. He said that no encroachments or illegal occupations would be tolerated in any area, including Margalla Hills National Park and no one would be allowed to compromise the natural beauty of Islamabad. He emphasized that no compromises would be made in this regard as action illegal encroachments is the top most priority of CDA in line with the direction of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi.
