KARACHI: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan met with Saudi Minister for Transport and Logistics Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser on the sidelines of the Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC) in Karachi, where the two sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and investment in Pakistan’s transport infrastructure.
During the meeting, Aleem Khan briefed the Saudi minister on Pakistan’s expanding network of motorways and national highways, as well as the government’s focus on facilitating foreign investment through public-private partnerships in the road sector. He highlighted ongoing and upcoming connectivity projects designed to strengthen trade routes and regional integration.
The Saudi transport minister appreciated Pakistan’s progress in infrastructure development and expressed interest in exploring collaboration opportunities, particularly in logistics and road construction. He extended an invitation to Abdul Aleem Khan to visit Saudi Arabia to further discuss potential joint ventures and investment avenues.
The interaction marks a step toward enhancing Saudi-Pakistan cooperation in the transport and infrastructure sectors, aligning with both countries’ broader goals of regional connectivity and economic partnership.
