ISLAMABAD: Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei Technologies Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. and its value-added partner, AE Power Energy Pvt. Ltd., to jointly develop Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across the country.

The agreement, signed on October 10, 2025, at Huawei’s Islamabad office, aims to lay the groundwork for a sustainable and eco-friendly transportation ecosystem in Pakistan. Under the collaboration, the three companies will work together to establish state-of-the-art EV charging stations, promote electric mobility, and encourage innovation and investment in the clean energy sector.

According to APL, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing Pakistan’s transition toward green technology by reducing carbon emissions, enhancing energy security, and supporting a cleaner and more energy-efficient future.

“This collaboration marks a major step toward building the infrastructure necessary for the adoption of electric vehicles in Pakistan,” an APL spokesperson said, adding that it aligns with the government’s broader vision of sustainable urban mobility.

With Huawei’s technological expertise, APL’s nationwide retail network, and AE Power’s energy solutions, the initiative is expected to pave the way for a smarter, cleaner, and more connected transportation future.
