ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on the Islamabad District Courts and Cadet College Wana, terming them cowardly acts aimed at destabilising national peace and security.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the tragic incidents. He said that such acts of terrorism were a serious threat to national security and unity, adding that the entire nation stands united against extremism.
Pirzada lauded the professionalism and swift response of the security forces, noting that their timely action saved the lives of more than 650 individuals present at the Wana Cadet College. He said the government remained firmly committed to taking concrete measures to root out terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The minister also urged for bringing all those involved in the attacks to justice and emphasised the need for collective national resolve to eliminate the menace of terrorism once and for all. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims.
