ISLAMABAD: The federal government has raised the price of high speed diesel by Rs11.30 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs268.38 per litre from February 1, 2026, for the next fortnight, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy Petroleum Division. Petrol prices have been maintained at Rs253.17 per litre.

The revision was made on the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority after its regular fortnightly review in line with global oil price trends. While stable petrol prices offer some relief to motorists, the diesel increase is expected to impact transport and agricultural costs.
