ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has announced an increase of Rs6.37 per kilogram in liquefied petroleum gas prices, raising the cost of an 11.8 kilogram household cylinder by Rs75.21. Following the revision, the new retail price of a domestic LPG cylinder has been fixed at Rs2,667.40 for February, compared to Rs2,592.19 in the previous month.

According to Ogra, the revised per kilogram price now stands at Rs266.05. The authority warned distributors and retailers against overcharging, saying strict action would be taken on complaints. The increase was attributed to a 3.30 percent rise in Saudi Aramco contract prices, partially offset by a slight decline in the US dollar exchange rate.
