Islamabad Police, in coordination with the Capital Development Authority and the Revenue Department, was carrying out a peaceful and lawful survey operation in Noori Mohalla in accordance with prescribed procedures. The operation was part of routine administrative measures aimed at verification and documentation under existing legal frameworks.

During the survey, a group of local individuals allegedly launched an unprovoked attack on the survey teams. According to official accounts, assailants opened fire and resorted to stone pelting, creating panic and endangering the lives of law enforcement personnel present at the site. The sudden violence disrupted the operation and escalated the situation rapidly.

As a result of the attack, several police officers sustained injuries. All injured personnel were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals, where they are receiving medical treatment. Authorities confirmed that the injured officers are under care and their condition is being closely monitored by medical teams.

Islamabad Police have strongly condemned the attack and stated that strict legal action is being initiated against those involved. Officials emphasised that attacks on law enforcement agencies are unacceptable and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The police reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and protecting public and private property, warning that all available legal measures will be used to maintain law and order in the federal capital.
