RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority carried out a decisive enforcement operation against the illegal housing scheme Qaim Mansion located at Mouza Adiala on Adiala Road reaffirming its zero tolerance policy against unauthorised development.
According to officials a comprehensive action was launched in which the site office of the illegal scheme was demolished and all unauthorised structures and infrastructure were removed. Pathways and access roads that had been unlawfully blocked by the developers were also cleared to restore public right of way and ensure compliance with approved planning standards.
During the operation the RDA Enforcement Squad issued clear directions to the developers to immediately halt all construction and marketing activities. The developers were instructed to bring the site into full compliance with relevant planning laws building regulations and land use policies without any delay.
RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza said the authority would not tolerate any form of illegal or unapproved housing development in Rawalpindi. She stated that such schemes not only violate urban planning laws but also pose serious risks to citizens by promoting fraudulent practices and unregulated construction.
She emphasised that strict enforcement actions would continue across the district to safeguard public interest maintain discipline in urban development and ensure transparent and lawful growth of the city. She added that all departments concerned have been directed to remain vigilant and proactive in identifying and eliminating illegal developments.
The director general advised citizens to exercise caution before investing in any housing project and urged them to verify the legal status of schemes through official RDA platforms. She further directed the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate to take indiscriminate action against all illegal housing schemes commercial activities booking offices and encroachments to ensure orderly and sustainable urban development in Rawalpindi.
