ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has intensified its enforcement actions with a sweeping operation against illegal encroachments and unauthorized commercial activities in Sector I-14, signaling a renewed commitment to restoring order in the federal capital.

Acting on public complaints, CDA enforcement teams launched a targeted crackdown on roadside encroachments and illegal advertising boards that had been disrupting traffic flow and damaging the area’s urban landscape. The operation was carried out with support from environmental officials.

During the drive, several illegally established workshops were sealed for violating municipal regulations and operating without proper authorization. Officials stated that these setups not only encroached on public land but also contributed to environmental degradation.

Authorities emphasized that the operation is part of a broader strategy to reclaim green belts and public spaces that have long been occupied by unauthorized structures. The move aims to improve the city’s aesthetics while ensuring compliance with civic laws.

CDA officials confirmed that both Environment and Enforcement wings will continue coordinated surveillance in the area to prevent the re emergence of illegal encroachments. Strict monitoring mechanisms are being put in place to sustain the impact of the operation.

The authority reiterated its resolve to take zero tolerance action against violations and urged citizens to report illegal activities. Officials said such joint efforts between the public and administration are essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and lawful urban environment in Islamabad.
