ISLAMABAD, October 9, 2026: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sohail Ashraf has reviewed development work in Sector C-14 and at Sangjani Interchange, directing officials to speed up pending work while maintaining construction quality and meeting completion targets.

During the visit, senior officials briefed the chairman on progress, construction standards and remaining work at both locations.

Sector C-14 infrastructure completed

Officials informed the chairman that basic infrastructure development in Sector C-14 has been completed, while arrangements for electricity supply are in their final stages.

The installation of light poles along the main roads has also been completed. Signboards have been installed along the sector’s main roads and streets to improve navigation and make the area easier to access.

Meanwhile, landscaping and horticulture work is continuing to improve the appearance of the sector and provide residents with a better living environment.

Possession of developed plots begins

Following the completion of basic infrastructure, the process of handing over possession of developed plots to eligible allottees has formally started.

The CDA chairman directed the relevant departments to speed up the remaining procedures and resolve administrative or technical issues that could delay the handover.

He stressed that development should not be measured only by the completion of roads and other infrastructure. Ensuring that eligible allottees receive possession of their plots without unnecessary delays is also an important part of delivering residential facilities.

Officials were directed to prioritise the remaining work and complete the necessary formalities as quickly as possible.

Sangjani Interchange work to be accelerated

The CDA chairman later visited Sangjani Interchange to inspect ongoing construction and development activities.

He received a briefing on the project’s progress, construction quality and completion targets. He instructed the concerned departments to increase the pace of work and complete the project within the established timeline.

The chairman also stressed that construction quality, durability and compliance with approved standards must not be compromised in the drive to complete development projects on time.

Regular site inspections, prompt resolution of on-site problems and improved coordination between departments were also emphasised to prevent delays.

Focus on better housing and road infrastructure

The visits reflect the authority’s focus on developing new residential sectors alongside major road infrastructure projects in Islamabad.

Sector C-14 is moving towards providing developed plots and improved residential facilities, while work at Sangjani Interchange remains focused on construction progress and timely completion.

The CDA has directed the relevant teams to continue monitoring both projects and ensure that the remaining work benefits residents and road users.
