Allottees in Blocks A, B and D are expected to receive possession by the end of 2026, subject to completion of development work and basic facilities.
The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has set December 31, 2026, as the deadline for handing over plots in Blocks A, B and D of the Sky Garden Housing Project near Islamabad.
The deadline was announced following a visit by Secretary Housing and Works Captain (Retired) Muhammad Mahmood, accompanied by FGEHA Director General Captain (Retired) Zafar Iqbal and the housing scheme’s joint venture partner, Chaudhry Ismail.
During the visit, officials reviewed development progress and discussed the remaining technical and administrative matters that need to be resolved before possession can be handed over.
Development Work Nears Completion in Three Blocks
According to project officials, development work in Blocks A, B and D under Package-I has entered its final stages, with finishing work underway.
The Sky Garden Housing Project comprises 4,255 plots, of which 2,470 have been allotted. Officials are working to complete the remaining development activities and resolve outstanding issues before the announced deadline.
The housing secretary directed the relevant teams to speed up work and coordinate closely to keep the project on schedule.
Basic Facilities Required Before Handover
The authorities have stressed that possession should not be handed over simply to meet the deadline. Essential facilities, including effective drainage and sewerage systems, must also be available for residents.
The project team has been directed to address outstanding technical and administrative matters and ensure that the development meets the required standards.
FGEHA has assured that financial, technical and administrative support will be provided to help complete the work on time.
For plot allottees, the next key milestone is December 31, 2026. However, the actual handover will depend on the completion of the necessary development work and facilities.
