ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company has announced a temporary reduction in electricity generation, triggering renewed load management across urban and rural areas amid a worsening international petroleum crisis.

According to an official statement, the global fuel crisis has disrupted energy supply chains, forcing the utility to adjust power generation levels. As a result, scheduled power outages are being implemented to balance demand and supply across its service areas.

An IESCO spokesperson confirmed that load management of equal duration is being carried out in both urban and rural regions whenever required. Consumers have been advised to follow the official schedule available on the company’s website to plan their daily routines accordingly.

The power utility acknowledged the inconvenience caused to consumers and assured that the current situation is temporary. Officials emphasized that the crisis is part of a broader global challenge impacting multiple sectors, including energy production and distribution.

Authorities have urged citizens to cooperate and adopt energy conservation practices during this period. The spokesperson stated that collective efforts are essential to navigate the ongoing crisis and maintain system stability.

Consumers seeking further information or assistance have been advised to contact the dedicated helpline. IESCO reiterated its commitment to restoring normal supply conditions as soon as the global fuel situation stabilizes.
