RAWALPINDI: A sudden stone pelting incident targeting a green electric bus triggered panic among passengers on Peshawar Road, raising fresh concerns about commuter safety on the city’s key transport corridors.
According to officials, the bus was en route from Marir Chowk to Motorway Morr carrying around 100 passengers, including women and children, when an unidentified individual hurled stones at the vehicle near Charing Cross. The impact shattered a window on the conductor side, sending shockwaves through the crowded bus.
Eyewitness accounts described moments of fear and confusion as passengers scrambled to protect themselves, fearing further attacks. Despite the intensity of the incident, no injuries were reported, and the driver managed to maintain control of the vehicle and continue the journey safely.
